Birds in Art - 2016

World renowned avian art

10. Sep. - 27. Nov. 2016 - Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum

The 41st annual show of the internationally renowned Birds in Art exhibition celebrates avian marvels through fresh interpretations in original paintings, sculptures, and graphics created within the last three years. Every year talented artists from throughout the world strive to be among those chosen to take part and to join at the opening  weekend festivities at the Woodson Art Museum in September, held in Wausau, Wisconsin (U.S.A.).

"Elevated Architecture" accepted into Birds in Art

'Elevated Architecture' was selected for the 'Birds in Art' 2016 exhibition, held by The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin.

The painting is done in a mixed media technique, since inks were used to paint on clayboard. Afterwards the details were engraved with sharp tools, like a scalpel, to highlight certain details and stuctures.

The work will be displayed alongside of 110 other juried artists and past Master Artists in the The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum, from 10. September to 27. November 2016.

Another special surprise and great honor was to find my painting 'Elevated Architecture' chosen as cover image for the  show brochure.
