Description

The Muzes. What would we be without them, the nine daughters from Zeus? Initially, singing goddesses but later they became personifications, each protecting a different kind of art. According to the mythology, they were born near the Olympus, Greek's highest mountain, elevated place of residence of the supreme god Zeus, where they prefer to reside and with their voices adding lustre to the meals of the gods. Nowadays, they are considered as the sources of insipration for the arts.
In 2017, Gallery Staphorius "will see Abraham" since for already 50 years the muzes were sources of inspiration for countless expositions in the gallery. Festively and with much satisfaction, Abraham reflects back on this successful period where hundreds of artists presented their works, inspired by their muze.
